Michael is a Canadian Citizen, a husband and the dad of three wonderful daughters. He currently is the CEO of Grameenphone the largest Mobile Operator in Bangladesh and the Chairman of Telenor Health a start-up enterprise focused on the provision of medical services in underserved markets. He is also serving as the President of Association of Mobile Telecom Operators of Bangladesh. He previously was the CEO of Telenor in Bulgaria and Telenor Pakistan.
His experience in Telecoms is mostly focused on markets in transition and he has held assignments in Nigeria, Kenya, Sierra Leone and Tunisia among others. Michael is also a Global Mentor of the Youth Program run by the Telenor Group in conjunction with Nobel Peace Center in Oslo. He graduated from McGill University so long ago the date is no longer relevant.
