Dr.Suma M S
Dr.Suma M S is a Professor in the Department of Medical Electronics, B.M.S College of Engineering, Bengaluru. She is the IEEE Branch Mentor for BMSCE. From 2005 till date, she is serving as a faculty in Engineering Education having over 20 years of industry, research and teaching experience.
She completed Ph.D. in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Bangalore University, India in 2013. Her research interests lie in the area of VLSI, ranging from theory to design and implementation. She has collaborated actively with researchers in several other disciplines of Electronics and Communication, particularly VLSI at the hardware/software interface.
She holds two patents, 10 Journal papers, 14 International Conferences, 12 National Conferences, and 39 FDP’s till date. She has also served as Program Chair for VLSI conferences and has delivered technical talks in various Institutes. As of 2018, Google Scholar reports many citations to her work. Certificate of Recognition awarded for the abstract titled “Turtle base and fin perforation effects on the thermal performance of a heat exchanger” presented at CISCO Design Innovation Conference 2016, Bangalore, India. She has mentored for the project “Automated Waste Segregator” which won the Chairman’s Award at the Texas Instruments Innovation Challenge India: Analog Design Contest 2014. (Cash prize of 10,000 USD).
She is the author of CMOS VLSI Design – A Simplified Approach New Age International Publishers Pvt. Ltd. Currently she is working on a book that elaborates on the Biomedical circuits with VLSI and SOC for Biomedical applications. Adding to this she is guiding six Ph.D. students.
